At Toolbox, we view access to a good education as a privilege, and seek to provide this privilege to those who lack this resource. We host several unique fundraisers throughout the year and donate all proceeds to underprivileged areas with minimal access to education.

Community
love
We as an organization alone cannot solve this massive problem. It is essential that everyone contributes to give future generations the opportunities they need to succeed.
None of our projects could be accomplished without all the love and care we and our volunteers put in.
our founder
Toolbox was founded by Alisha Madhuvarshi, a high school student from Texas. The idea for Toolbox stemmed from her love of helping those in need. In fact, the very root of Toolbox was formed through Alisha’s first charity project in third grade, where she organized a schoolwide fundraiser to raise money for those struggling after the devastating earthquake in Nepal. She raised several hundred dollars, all of which were donated to the American Red Cross. This event gave rise to Alisha’s love for organizing ventures, which she revisited in 2020, where she taught donation-based competition math classes for nearly three years. Here, she raised enough money to purchase school supplies, clothing, and sports equipment for an orphanage in India. Alisha continued these ventures when she raised money for an underprivileged school in India, where they opened a library in her name. Using these projects as a foundation, Alisha hopes to lead more events with Toolbox and provide opportunities for education everywhere.
logistics head
Rakesh Nikhaj is a CISF officer in India who has helped administrate Toolbox's library openings. Acknowledging the instrumental role that the society one lives in plays in shaping one's persona and driven by the passion for giving back to their community, he has embarked upon a series of activities to bring constructive changes in our world. This includes organizing career counseling, motivational sessions for underprivileged children in rural areas, visiting orphanages and nursing homes regularly to provide essential supplies, and undertaking various kinds of competitions to not only spot and promote exceptional talents but also inculcate an ecosystem of creative learning, critical thinking, and healthy competition among the young generation. In recognition of his selfless service, the distinguished Hindi Daily Journal voted him one of India's 75 inspiring social leaders.
