the library project

What is the library project?

The Library Project is an initiative started by Toolbox to open 100 libraries in disadvantaged institutions, such as schools or orphanages, in India. So far, Toolbox has raised $13,613 out of our $50,000 goal and has opened five libraries with this funding with the help of Mr. Rakesh Nikhaj, the Deputy Commandant of CISF who is based in India. However, we still need your help to make this goal a reality.

what can I do to help?

We ask all of you to donate towards this initiative and help us provide education to disadvantaged youth in India. Toolbox is also offering the opportunity to sponsor libraries. Please donate today to @ourtoolbox on PayPal or Venmo or to our email on Zelle!

Toolbox's sixth library was opened on November 21, 2023 at the small village, Pachawar, in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. Toolbox opened its seventh library on December 16, 2023 at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. This library has been stocked with over 400 books, which will be used by students from 9th to 12th grade.

Toolbox opened its eighth library on March 3, 2024 in the Kaniyan village of the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh. This library is stocked with books of multiple genres, including preparatory exam guides, self-help books, mythology, science, and both fiction and non-fiction best sellers.

On April 8, 2024, Toolbox opened three libraries with the assistance of author and social activist Anant Gangola, who helped us identify three schools in remote parts of India, specifically the villages of Neelgarh, Dhundhwani, and Bari. The students in these schools are all of a young age, and through our libaries, Toolbox provided them with books, sports equipment, and musical instruments to enable them to purse their passions.
